Have you ever had a day where your brain just refused to function? You just sit there trying to get something done and nothing seems to work? Well, here are a few ways to get over the blahs and back to work:

  1. Take a walk – Sometimes you are just stuck because of where you are. When I sit at my desk I can’t think of any good ideas. However I find that if I change my perspective and get out of the office for even just a few minutes I get a plethora of new ideas. Going for a walk can help to open up your mind and gets your blood pumping.
  2. Do some sit-ups – Speaking of getting your blood pumping a great way to overcome tiredness and boredom is to do something physical. Sit-ups, push-ups, leg lifts, and even stretches help to get the blood to your brain and make your mind wake up and get to work. It doesn’t take much room to do these simple activities either so there are no excuses. Plus it can help you to stay fit and healthy!
  3. Have a snack –Sometimes when I have not eaten in a while my brain goes on strike. That is why breakfast is so important. But sometimes throughout the day you just need a little pick me up. Munching on an apple or banana can give you the sugar rush you need to power through your day without unhealthy calories. A cup of tea is also a great way to wake up and stay focused.

These are just a few simple ways you can get your mind back on track. Do not give in to the blahs. Fight them and get something accomplished today!
