I enjoy spreading the word about products that are beneficial and was excited when Jeff from Smelly Washer contacted me to complete this review and giveaway. I have struggled for years trying to remove the moldy, mildew and sour smell from our towels. I really had a difficult time with our kitchen towels and have tried several different detergents and methods.
I could not wait to try this product out and hoped it would be the method I was in search of. As soon as I received the Smelly Washer Cleaner- of course I wanted to try it right then. I followed the instructions listed on bottle and washed 1 load of towels. To my amaze- the smelly stench from the towels as well as the kitchen towels were gone. I later tried it on my husband’s work clothes and was satisfied with the results. I thought to myself- finally, a product that has been created to rid the odor from towels as well as clothes.
Another bonus for me- Smelly Washer Cleaner is natural, easy to use and has up to 24 treatments per bottle. As a mom of three boys I can really appreciate that! This is a must have washing machine product.

I think this would come in very handy in our old washer.
This is a product I didn’t know existed and I would like to try it for free. “Smelly Towel Cleaner is safe to use in front and top loading washing machines” – I have a front loader
I learned that the two leading causes of smelly washers was using to much detergent and using liquid fabric softener. Who knew?
I learned that liquid fabric softener can leave a film in the washer that can turn to mold.
I learned that towels can start to smell a after a few years.entry #2

I went to smelly washer and learned that my problems are probably due to using cold water too often.

I learned from the website that using cold water can contribute to the smell. Well, i ONLY use cold water to cut down on my gas bill, so i’m going to take their advice and use a hot wash once a week!

I also learned that the washing machine accumulates lint just like the dryer…looks like i gotta go clean it out!

I had no idea that the two leading causes of smelly washers was using to much detergent and using liquid fabric softener. I am guilty of doing both hence the smelly washer.

I learned that liquid fabric softener is too thick and should be watered down as much as 6X.
I love that you can add scent to it (lavender sounds good)
Smelly towel sounds good – my towels always end up smelling musty
