Shop Smart and Save Money this Holiday Season
With Christmas fast approaching, have you started your Holiday shopping? This is the first year that I have shopped more online for gift items. I have set a budget for expenses and have maintained it by using coupons. Printable coupons and online coupons as well as promo codes are the best ways to save money when buying your Holiday gift items or any purchases.
I have enjoyed using Target Coupons as well as Red Envelope Coupons and have a few online items in mind that I will be purchasing with Harry and David Coupons- with one of the gift items being a Holiday gift basket. These are just a few sites that could help you save money on your Holiday gifts.
Below are a few tips that can help you shop smart and save money this Holiday Season:
- Make a list: Just as you would a grocery list- you can start by making a list and sticking to it. Know who you are shopping for and what your budget is for their purchase.
- Start your shopping early: A lot of department stores and online stores start to cut their prices on products right after Thanksgiving. So begin your shopping on Black Friday, or even before. Some people start shopping right after Christmas for their next Christmas purchases.
- Shop smart: This is where the online coupons and promo codes come in- shop for online deals and cash back sites like MrRebates.com or FatWallet.com. You can earn rewards or cash back while shopping online and most sites have free shipping with a limited purchase amount.
- Get savvy: Save even more money by being creative with homemade gift items such as decorative items or baked goods. DIY Christmas gift ideas are inexpensive and could definitely save you money.
For me the above tips, being organized with coupons and setting a limit per gift has saved me money during the Holiday Season.
