5 Must-Have Apps for WAHMs
No matter what it is that they may do for a living, something that all Work-At-Home-Moms (WAHMs) can agree on is that time is of the ultimate essence. Each day, they have to figure out how to make the most of a 24-hour day from getting their spouse and kids off to work and school, to making sure that the house is clean and dinner is ready, to also doing all that they can to keep their business running smoothly too. Thankfully, there are many apps that a WAHM can download onto her phone; ones that will make life a lot easier and can stretch her hours a lot further.
If you’re a WAHM and you’re looking for some ideas on the must-have apps that you might need, we have our Top Five list for you below:
Grocery Gadget Shopping List. Most moms have to figure out some time within each week to go grocery shopping. The awesome thing about the Grocery Gadget Shopping List is that not only does it help you to create multiple shopping lists for various stores, but it also provides you with coupons that match the items that you have on your list. It also comes with a sync feature so that you can alert your husband of what you’ve already purchased (so you both won’t end up buying the same thing).
Mint.com Personal Finance. The days can go by really fast. Before you know it, you will have spent money without necessarily knowing where it all went. This is where Mint.com comes in. It is an app that shows you all of your accounts from checking and savings to your investments. Then it automatically categorizes your transactions for you.
Dragon Dictation. Sometimes, when you are in the midst of changing a diaper or making a meal, an idea might come to you that you don’t want to get away. Thanks to Dragon Dictation, it won’t. This app is a voice-recognition one that helps you to not only send yourself reminders, but it also has the ability to send out Facebook status updates and personal and professional emails too.
Stylish Girl. Say that you have a big meeting coming up and you didn’t have time to run out to the mall to get something new to wear. If you had the Stylish Girl app loaded up on your Griffin Survivor iPhone (or some other smartphone), you won’t have anything to worry about. That’s because it’s an app that lets you take pictures of the clothes that you already have. From that, it creates a virtual closet that affords the ability you to mix and match the options that are available. You just might have an “outfit or two” that you never thought to put together before downloading it.
Intuition: Mom’s Personal Assistant. Although most of us probably wish that we had a personal assistant, that doesn’t mean we can afford one. Probably the next best thing would be to have the Intuition app. It organizes everything from your daily schedule and to-do lists to the calls you need to make and errands you need to run. Also, if you’re short on time, there is a location feature that lets you know if you’re close by to a place where you can get something that you need, even if you’re on the other side of town. For many WAHMs, there’s no way that they would consider leaving home without it.
